Areas 2 and 3 are areas outside major metropolitan areas such as Johannesburg and Cape Town. The minimum wage for Grade C officers in area 2 is R6217,00 pm (R74 604,00 per year) and area 3 is R5 239,00 per month (R62 868,00 per year).
